A kick!

I have been feeling Kyler kick and move around inside my tummy for many weeks now... but, every time he does it I put my hand there to see if I can feel it from the outside.

TODAY I felt something funny and put my hand on my tummy where I felt a lump. At first I was freaking out because I had no idea why I should be feeling a lump on my tummy!!! Then, is the lump went away IT HIT ME!!!!!! It was Kyler!!!! LOL

Wait! How far along AM I?????

Wow... I know that my weeks start on Tuesdays... but, for the life of me I COULDN'T remember what week I am on! I remembered the "conceiving date" so I had to go all the way back and count! LOL I know, silly!!!

So, I am 22 weeks! If you check out Kyler's blog it will give you a bit of an update on where Kyler is at. I also found it interesting that 3D Pregnancy says that the baby can now get a taste of strong flavors through the amniotic fluid! They joked that "If you could see inside, you might catch her sticking out her tongue for a taste and then grimacing, a sign that perhaps you should chill on the chili powder."

22 Weeks Pregnant

I truly love these sites that they have for pregnant women showing them week by week what is going on in their tummy, with their body, emotions, etc... they have really helped prepare me for things to come and have wowed me over Kyler's growth developments!

Wohooo!! What a week!

So... a week in Cali doing almost nothing but taking pictures.... I am exhausted!!! As much fun as I had though, I am glad to be back home. But, I thought you all would like to see some of the shots I got while I was out there!

Although it is hard to tell, my

sister is the one in ALL of these photos. We tried to make her look different each time so that it wouldn't be

too obvious. I have more, but they haven't been worked on.... I even have some of a friend of her's that are adorable. I will hopefully get those on here soon.

Funny Story

A while back I read that the baby can now hear me and may even come out recognizing songs that I sing repeatedly. So.... I was in the car singing along with my sister to a musical when it hit me and I said, "I wonder what I sound like from inside my tummy?!!?"

Needless to say, my sister and my mother got a BIG kick out of that question and couldn't stop laughing!

Maternity photos

Yesterday I tried to get all dolled up to have some maternity photos taken. My sister did an excellent job of taking the photos... but, I couldn't help seeing just a fat person instead of a pregnant lady!!! I always felt so cute, until I saw those pictures! The camera now, as I have decided, adds on 50 lbs!!!!!! LOL

Anyway... here are a couple of the shots:

Photography Set-up

Today was great!!! I am in California mainly to do some mock photo-shoots for The Gallery's portfolio! I started the morning with a cup of hot cocoa on the front porch; watching the sun come up. Then, an hour and 15 minute walk with my mom and sister while we brain stormed about some great locations for the shoots for this week:

Tomorrow will be bridal's in a formal gown, Thursday will be bridals in a summer gown near the water and a photo-shoot at a dance studio. Friday will be some personal photos that I will be doing with me and my sister. Saturday will be entirely devoted to 2 wedding shoots and engagement photos!! WOW!!!

I am so excited I can hardly stand it!!!! Don't worry.... I wont leave you in too much suspense! I will post a few pictures when I have them!

Changes

As I logged on for the first time since July, 2009, I could see how many changes there have been since that time. The first, and most important, is that I am pregnant! I will be having a boy, Kyler DeVon Christensen, in July of 2010. I am so excited to have this wonderful blessing in my life and am both nervous and anxious about the day when this bundle of joy is born!! :)

The other big change is that, as hard as we tried, my marriage is not working out. My husband and I separated recently and have now decided that a divorce would be the best option for both of us and our child. As sad as that sounds, I do believe that we will be able to maintain a relationship that will be a lot healthier for our son. :)

I am hoping to try and keep this blog up more often again and I will be starting a new blog devoted completely to Kyler for his dad and his family! I think it will be wonderful! Almost like a journal for Kyler to have of his life as well!!!
