Where have I been?!!?

Well... that's an easy question... stuck behind a desk do homework! BLAH!! I started my two classes on May 9th and they are kicking my butt! I feel like that is all I ever do anymore... homework, homework, homework!
Anyhoo... I got back from Cali a little over a week ago (My hubin was missin' me!) and I have been trying to get my house cleaned, get laundry done, homework (ha ha), and a few other little things. One of our neighbors had a baby not too long ago and last weekend she had a pinched nerve and couldn't even walk with out help. So, Ken and I brought them dinner the last two nights to help out.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial day! We had mostly rain, but at one point while it was semi-nice we took the dogs to the park to run around... it was great! They wore themselves out and came home to sleep! (We need to do that more often! LOL) That evening there was a break in the clouds showing a little bit of light and here is the magnificent shot I got:

Isn't it amazing? I LOVE IT!!! I don't know why I love the clouds so much... I have a lot of pictures of clouds, especially around the time of a storm. They just seem so heavenly, no pun intended! LOL

Well, it is back to work I am afraid. Now that I am home I will be on my blog more often. Have a great weekend and wish me happy birthday... it's on Saturday!!! (29! YUCK!) :)

Lori's Birthday weekend

We had such a fun weekend last week... Sunday was Lori's birthday and we started celebrating Saturday night!  Her husband, Cameron, took us out to a really nice stake house for dinner.

It was called Claim Jumper and it seemed very ritzy!!  We got all dolled up, had a wonderful meal, sang happy birthday to Lori, and shared an amazing desert!  It was a really fun night!

On Sunday afternoon we all gathered at one of their friends' house for a Luau party!  Lori and I had gotten all kinds of decorations, party favors, and things to wear!  Cam BBQ turkey which is Lori's favorite, we had presents, cake, and played games... it was a blast!

LOVIN it!!!!

Well...  I am having a blast out here in Cali!!!  I have to admit that it is tough trying to eat majorly healthy and work out every day, but we are definately doing things to enjoy ourselves in between!  One day last week she took me to downtown Walnut Creek (that's the city she lives in) and it was amazing!  We are talking at least 30 square blocks of shops, food, and
entertainment!  We just spent a few hours window shopping... including Tiffany & Co.!!!!  I have never been in a Tiffany's before!  It was really classy!  Plus, they have a new set of charms that came out... Keys!!!  If you know me then you know I love keys!  Especially the old fashioned looking ones like they now have at Tiffany's!
Lori and I has so much fun going through the baby stores where she was able to drool over all the baby items!  We had frozen yogurt, took pictures, and even found an adorable little pond with these HUGE fish and turtles in it.  That is where is picture is taken of us.

Another day we went to Santa Cruz where they had an enormous boardwalk with an amusement park on it!  We didn't go on any of the ride, but we had lunch, went window shopping, laid on the beach, took a TON of pictures, and had dinner on the warf at a really great seafood restaurant.  It was an amazing day!  We drove around in Lori's mustange convertable with the top down the whole way!  We got a little red with all the sun we had that day, but it was well worth it!!

What a trip!

Wow!! I have been planning a relaxing mini "vaca" to my sisters in San Francisco, then I had to...

Go home and pack
Call around to get last minute details
Pack up the dogs and drop them off at my in-laws
Drive 11 hours to Cali through heavy rain
Help my sister rearrange her apartment
AND....
Help find our little family a new car!

I am sure you have all heard about the rough winter that Ken and I have had this year. We have been a little behind on our truck payment, but no more than 60 days and we have been open and honest with the loan company about our situation. So, I was pretty shocked when I got a call from hubby telling me that they were taking the truck! I was so scared!!! I am miles and miles away and just beginning my vaca... I felt so helpless!!!!!

Yesterday my husband met with our bishop and explained the situation, he maid some calls and found a member who had a car we could borrow. They also realized that they had a "fixer upper" that they would be willing to sell. So, we have a car until we fix the other one!!! We are so blessed with the members of our ward!!!

Sorry that I don't have any pics from my trip yet... it's been raining so we have just been working out, running errands, and organizing her place. Tomorrow should be in the seventies and sunny! So, hopefully there will be some shots on here soon!
