The MANY faces of Addy

I have this adorable new niece who I just can't seem to resist! She is not shy at all so she will come to me all the time and that is a lot of fun! Ken and I went to his parent's house this weekend to celebrate is dad's birthday. All of the family that is located here in Utah were present and we had a blast! It was a WONDERFUL weekend!!!

As usual I was taking a lot of pictures and at one point I had a really good angle to take some shots of little Addy thinking that it might be nice for her parents. After I got home and was going through them I couldn't help but laugh at all the different faces I had of her. So, I thought I would share:

It just hit me...

I know that I may be doing this prematurley, but it just hit me yesterday... I will be 29 in two months!!!! 29?!!? Where have the years gone?? I can't believe that I am a little over a year from being 30 years old! AND NO KIDS!!!!! grrrrrrr!

Anyway, that *almost* ruined my day... but, a LOT of things made it better! First off, I am getting my car back! I feel like I am being reintroduced to a long lost friend... how have I lived without her? I am also really nervous to drive her back home... I know the weather is better, but I haven't been in my durango since I rolled it, just feels a bit weird.


My husband also helped "make my day!" When he gets a load that drives past my office he has started honking when he goes by... it is so cute! Now my co-workers have started asking me when they here a semi honk, "Eliese, is that your husband?" and I reply, "YES IT IS!!!!"

Spring is coming!

Look at this beautiful patch of green that I found in a never ending amount of brown!! I was so excited that I took a picture! Unfortunately we don't have any kind of lawn... all dirt. So, while Ken and I were out walking the dogs at the park I saw this patch of green and could immediately feel spring in the air!

Ken and I were told about a walk a square walkway not too far from our house that is the equivilant of a mile when you go around it one time. Ken had been there with the puppies before but I hadn't. Since the weather was so nice today we decided to go there for a stroll with Shylo and Rudy. Here are some shots from the day:

Well, we started out walking the trail, but then Kenny took the dogs into the center feild to play. Rudy loves to fetch sticks and Shylo loves to chew on them! LOL After a while we could tell that Shylo was getting tired... she is, after all, a lot smaller than the rest of us. Even though we weren't going very fast, she had to run most the time to keep up. So, at one point Kenny put her in my hood so that I wouldn't have to carry her, it was cute!!

Can you believe the weather?!!?

Well, it must be that time of year because I hardly EVER get sick... but, I started getting a sore throat Monday night and now I am ready for it to be gone! It especially stinks that I haven't been feeling good when we have been having some of the best weather! I swear it got up to 60° yesterday! It was beautiful!!!


So, I have a really funny story for everyone! I took Rudy and Shylo to the vet yesterday, Shylo needed her first set of shots and Rudy needed his second set and allergy medicine. As the receptionist was helping me out a nurse was standing their waiting to help us once we were done. She started to giggle after I gave them Shylo's name and then apologized. She said, "My name is Shylo and there is a guy named Rudy that works in the back!" I couldn't believe it! We were all laughing!
